Katja Loher : Multiverse

In her work, Katja Loher abandons traditional screens for video projections and, instead, creates spatial video objects by
incorporating sculpture with the video images. This is done by encasing video in hand-blown glass sculptures, called ‘Bubbles,’ as well as projecting video onto the surfaces of suspended weather balloons, which she calls “Videoplanets”. What makes Loher’s work unique is not only her addition of a sculptural element, but also the massive, intricate details she incorporates into the videos themselves.
